Activities

An encouraging beginning with 25 members who volunteered to look into respective fields, hence forming the EXCO and the 4 sub-committees to partner the school in helping our Woodlanders achieve their greatest potential. Some of the activities planned were the manning of the Cafe Hub Connexion, learning journey trips and better visibility of the PSG.

The very first event in our PSG calendar. Several members attended and helped in judging the cheerleading competition and were given the honour to give away prizes to the winners. The members who attended found it to be an exciting day, especially with the opportunity to mingle with our national sprinting legend, C Kunalan, who was the Guest of Honour

As a start, four members assisted teachers in bringing secondary 4 and 5 students to LTA, URA, HDB and the Malay Heritage Centre. Parents not only enjoyed the trip and befriended Woodlanders, but more importantly gained some knowledge and insight!

A day to remember as the school became colourful with students and teachers donning costumes of other races and countries! This is led by the school principal, Mrs Woo and the former principal, Mrs Yap, who put on Kebaya and Punjabi suits respectively. PSG members enjoyed a visual feast and wonderful entertainment at the concert, and later joined the Woodlanders for a reception, where we further enjoyed the good company of other members, parents, teachers and Woodlanders.

Several parents accompanied Sec 1 and 2 Woodlanders to Marina Barrage and the Peranakan Museum . Besides gaining knowledge through fun and interaction, our parents also enjoyed themselves, while getting the valuable opportunity to keep an eye on their children’s circle of friends.

Members and their families had a fun-filled day in the early morning at Sembawang Park . The short drizzle didn’t prevent us from enjoying ourselves with interesting games full of jokes and laughter. Most of all, members got to know each other better and helped ourselves with delicious home cooked food!

Four of our parents had a wonderful experience hosting 5 students from Shang Wen Middle School ( Shanghai , China ), accompanied by 5 Woodlanders as buddies. They enjoyed cycling and bowling at East Coast Park , not forgetting shopping at Bugis and Sim Lim. Most of all, they enjoyed tasty Singapore food and the company of our PSG Moms.
